Garden City Service Apartment - our place of stay in Malacca |
Nice Apartment..Much better than the isolated and rundown apartment that Daddy brought us to in Cameron Highland |
After checking into our apartment, we headed for shopping at Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall before dinner-time!
A&W!!! Due to long queue, i did not manage to buy its curly fries! |

If you are driving to Jonker Street, do remember to park a distance away and walk a bit to Jonker street. Otherwise it will be quite difficult to get a parking space near Jonker street. My dad parked near a police station (which we joked that it will definitely be safe) and we walked about 10 mins to Jonker street.
Church of St Francis Xavier - a stunning church we spotted on our way to Jonker Street |
After dinner, we proceeded to the famous Jonker street, passing by Malacca River |
绚丽夺目的三轮车 |
Jonker Street is super crowded!! So many people and yet i met my colleagues here! |
Supper: Egg Tarts from Jonker Street (not bad) |
Supper: Cempedak purchased from the place we had lunch at. |
-- Second Day --
Nice Breakfast. . .. |
Lots of Dim Sum! |
Malacca also has a flyer! However, it is a white elephant. It was closed due to poor business. |
Daddy drove us here for a view of a vibrant and colourfully decorated pub |
Lunch Treat from Daddy's friend. He said the chicken rice ball from this restaurant tasted better than those recommended in guide books. |
A Must-Try if you visit Malacca. |
I was hesitating to take this sky tower ride to have a bird-eye view of Malacca |
My brother and his GF posing for their caricature |
My brother is drawn. . . |
Followed by his GF |
TADA! Nice! It was great simply by watching how he drew my brother and his GF from nothing to 2 cute caricatures. He was good because my over-sized brother looks mascular! hahahaa.. |
We decided to visit Jonker Street again and walked through the streets of shop houses.
I love this photo. She looks really natural. |
Can you spot us? |
Entrance to the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum. My parents were not interested so we have to give this a miss. |
Reminds me of 《叶问》 |
Another entrance of Jonker Street |
Jonker 88 (inside Jonker Street) - famous for their chendol! We already had our chendol before we saw this. |
One cold discovery - ICE EGG! They have many flavors to choose from. It's very popular because the stall was crowded with people trying to buy this (probably the weather was hot too). We wanted to try this the night before but most of the nice favors were completely sold out. Lychee favor is nice! |
The famous landmark of Malacca - The Christ Church of Malacca! This landmark is very near to Jonker Street (basically all the famous attractions in Malacca are very near to one another) |
The last activity of the day - OUR SUPPER |
I was really looking forward to eating Lok-Lok and finally i get to eat it. Little did i know these Lok-Lok caused all of us to have food poisoning. Sigh... After this food poisoning incident, i would not want to touch Lok-Lok anymore. |
This trip was a relaxing trip but it's a pity i did not get the chance to visit some of the places i wanted to visit such as St Paul Hill & Church, the baba-nonya museum and left the trip with a food poisoning experience for all of us (except my Dad who surprisingly has a strong stomach!). However, it was a good time spent with my family members :)
