Muji Cheesecake & Failed brownies...(in Aug 08)

Baked Muji Cheesecake...















Felt a bit pek cek that it does not turn out as well as i thought...















Tried Brownies according to the recipe provided by my friend..















Looks okay right? Kai said nice but i was pek cek still cos my oven is not working properly and 70% of the brownie 不熟！！


Hence, My oven is now under repair... Hopefully the 'doctor' is able to cure him so i can bake soon..

Wall.E

Initially i fell in love with 'Monster Inc.' Subsequently, 'Finding Nemo' touches my heart and 'Ratatouille' is one of the best movies i have ever seen. In the end, i realised i am in love with PIXAR movies. Since then, I have made a secret 'vow' that i will support all Pixar movies in future..

Fulfiling my little 'vow', I watched 'Wall.E' today. =)

Well.. on the down side, i was tired and watching a movie with minimal words could potentially bore me. I must admit that it did make me feel sleepy after the whole movie. Despite so, I still like the movie & it does have a wonderful and meaningful plot.

First scene shows a desolate earth that is filled with rubbish & dirt leaves an impression in my mind.. Will the Earth will one day be like this if we do not protect it? I guessed this movie does want to bring out a strong environmental message to ppl out there..

Wall.E!! The soul of this Pixar movie...
A machine with emotions...so cute & innocent..
A scene of him stepping on his cockroach pal and getting a shock on his face & him looking at Eva's hand 就如一个情窦初开的男生第一次想要牵他爱人的手似的 still linger in my mind..
I am truly amazed how Pixar could always insert such humane emotions in reality onto 不可多看的事与物.

The cockroach (Wall.E's pal) appears when i was munching on my burger.. yucks! But the funny thing is after watching the movie, i dun see the cockroaches as disgusting when i was walking back home at night just now. Instead of siaming them, i took a 2nd look at them and tot of the cockroach inside the movie. Movie effect is indeed great... but i believe me viewing cockroaches as non-disgusting creatures will only be limited to tonight. =P

Well.. i'm getting sleepy as it's 1am now..
I shall say no more abt the movie and head to my bed.
For those who have not watched this movie, i do strongly recommend u to watch. It's a movie not to be missed.

I really love Pixar movie, hee......

An exciting yet not so exciting Staff Retreat at Desaru...

Staff retreat... first time in my entire life and first time held by my company.
I have heard of friends going to this country and that country for their staff retreat..but as a non-profit organisation, my company has chosen Desaru: not expensive, not far and not that long to travel to.

Dy & I was chatting about how sian we will be cos 80% of the trip will be simply discussions..or rather conversations as my coy termed it.

Moment of Sian:
(1) Rain! Rain! Rain! And more Rain!

Moments of Fright:
(1) When the contents of the conversations held at Desaru were distributed ard for us to peek peek see see prior to the day we head off to Desaru... meaningful futuristic qns but a blank mind from me. . . .

(2) Being the luckiest person to have the honor to be in the same team with 整个公司最有 LAT 和第二最有 LAT 的人 ... 第二最有 LAT 的人还选我互相 interview each other!

Moments of 感动：
(1) To see another team 高喊：“世上没有穷人，只有不肯自救的人！”

(2) To realise everyone in my company 有的是同样的目标和满满的爱心。“我们是一群好人！” 变成了大家的口号。。。 =)

(3) When my Deputy Manager passed me an umbrella before i left the bus with Qi. It was raining outside the bus and the ground was muddy.. To think she actually rushed forward simply to pass me her umbrella for me & Qi so that we will not get wet when we alight.

Moments of Happiness/Entertainment:
(1) Getting to know my colleagues aka friends better :) Now that i know Dy prefers to slp with lights & tv on when overseas, Qi is a 饿鬼, Har needs to slp early, Peng likes to watch mysterious old film with abrupt ending & Jia any sai also can eat..hahahaa..

(2) 第一次看到萤火虫...

(3) HEART ATTACK!! when we were all feeling sleepy & bored.......

(4) Our first touch of Desaru sand...Memorable, Corny & Candid moments just before the rain gets heavier:
